Krzysztof Tomalski born in 1963. He graduated with distinction at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He works as a professor there. Now he is a dean of the Print Department. Among others he was awarded with the Bronze Medal of the International Print Exhibition in Yunnan (China, 2012) and the Special Award of the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice ( Poland, 2012). He took part in artistic workshops at the Madison University (Great Britain), in Venice (Italy), at the University in Storrs ( USA, Connecticut, 2011) He took part in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He practises matal technuiques especially his own one called alintaglio (a dry point on aluminium plates).
The artist had one individual exhibition in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far. He also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: The Element and the Method, Galerie de la C.G.E.R. (1996, Liege), Centrum Manggha (1997, Cracow); Shaping the Gallery, JFG (2012, Cracow); Visible/ Invisible, Turchin Center for Visual Arts, (2012/13 Boone NC, USA).
