Jacek Sroka born in 1957. He finished the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He worked as an assistant professor there (1981-89). He exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2008 his retrospective exhibition took place in the National Museum in Cracow. He won many awards and distinctions at the international print exhibitions e.g.:at the Print Biennial in Mulhouse (France,1984), the International Exhibition of Print Miniature in Toronto (Canada,1986), the Atlantic Print in Rejkjawik (Island,1987), the Print Biennial in Vaasa (Sweden,1987), the International Print Triennial in Cracow (Poland, 1994). In 1988 ha was awarded Grand Prix of the Print Biennial in Seoul ( Korea). He was also honoured with the Witold Wojtkiewicz Award of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers for the exhibition in Jan Fejkiel Gallery in Cracow ( 2000). He practises metal techniques in printmaking (etching, aquatint), painting and drawing.
The artist had four individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far.
