Andrzej Kapusta

Andrzej Kapusta was born in 1956. In 1981 he finished the Painting Faculty of the Academu of Fine Arts in Cracow. He was teaching there in 1982-1999. He is a painter and printmaker. He received the France Liberte Founation Scholarship (1986) and the British Council Scholarship (1990). In 1987 he won Grand Prix at the Painting Festival of the Young in 1991 and the Award of the Polish Culture Foundation. He was producing painting cycles and monotypes alternately. The artist exhibited his works on a dozen or so individual shaws and many group ones. 

The artist had two individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far. He also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: The Ironic Portrait, the State Gallery (1993, Cracow, Kielce, Łódż), Forum Ost-West (1994, Bergisch Gladbach); Stone, Metal, Wood, Computer ,Cracow Expo Center(1994);  The Polish Printmakers and the French Poets, Galerie des Franciscains (1995, St.Nazaire).
