Agnieszka Dobosz

 

Agnieszka Dobosz was born in 1969. She started her art education at the Faculty of Design of the National Higher Art School in Gdansk. She graduated with distinction from the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1993). Now she works as an assistant professor at the Rzeszow University where she runs classes at the Intaglio Studio. In 2004 he presented her doctoral dissertation at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She practises printmaking and drawing. She belongs to the artistic feminine „Group 13”. She took part in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She got the Art Scholarship of City of Cracow (1995). She won I Prize at poster competition in Heilbronn ( Germany,1991) and in Cracow (1993) as well. She was awarded with the Statutory Award of the International Print Triennial in Cracow (1994) and with the Hollar Association Award in Praque (Chechs,1995). In 2000 she was invited to take part in Drukproject in Mehlwaage Kunstlerwerkstadt (Freiburg).

The artist had three individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far. She also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.:  The Alternative Graphic, JFG (1995, Cracow); The Element and the Method, Galerie de la C.G.E.R. (1996, Liege), Centrum Manggha (1997, Cracow); The Polish Printmakers and the French Poets, Galerie des Franciscains (1999, St.Nazaire); Mondo Cane, JFG, (2001, Cracow), The State Gallery (2002, Kielce); Visible/ Invisible, Turchin Center for Visual Arts, (2012/13 Boone NC, USA).
